Daniel Brown is a Charlotte, North Carolina native and proud graduate of South Mecklenburg High School’s Class of 2011. He attended Auburn University, where his passion for real estate development took root through an internship with Capstone during his senior year. This early exposure laid the foundation for his career, and after earning his degree in December 2015, Daniel officially joined Capstone’s Management division.
Over the next several years, Daniel gained valuable, hands-on experience across multiple U.S. markets. His work spanned key areas such as marketing, accounting, and community operations, allowing him to develop a well-rounded understanding of the multifamily and student housing sectors. This operational experience proved instrumental when he transitioned back to the Development team in November 2019.
Now, Daniel plays a vital role in identifying and evaluating prospective sites for both Conventional and Student Housing developments nationwide. His keen eye for emerging markets and strategic locations supports Capstone’s continued growth and project success.
Daniel is married to his wife, Shelby, and they are proud parents to their daughter, Reis. Together with their three dogs—Brady, Peanut, and Buddy—they enjoy spending quality time outdoors, especially at Lake Martin in Alabama.
